Ruth achieved her Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bank Street College of Education and her BFA in Drama from New York University. She has called the Big Island home for twelve plus years. As the former representative for the State Teachers Association, Ruth developed professional and personal relationships throughout the islands which enhanced her knowledge and appreciation of the beautiful state of Hawaii.  Her passion and expertise will be shared with your entire family!

Ruth is an experienced, creative and energetic educator with over 20 years working with children and their families. More than a nurturing, compassionate, and patient nanny; she partners with parents on individual goals. Ruth believes in the value of learning in all types of situations and holds high standards while specializing in:

•    A child-centered play-based approach.
•    Providing scientific, natural world and sensory exploration (indoors and outdoors)
•    Encouraging children’s self-expression through the arts, including: singing, dancing, creative      movement and dramatics.
•    Engaging children with literature, storytelling and the writing process.
